Fluorite is a colourful mineral composed of calcium fluoride (CaF₂). Although pure fluorite is colourless, natural impurities and structural changes within the crystal can produce an extraordinary range of colours, including purple, green, blue, yellow and clear, often appearing together in beautifully banded specimens.

One of fluorite’s most distinctive features is its natural crystal structure. It commonly forms in cubes and can also split along perfect cleavage planes to create octahedral shapes — part of what makes fluorite so fascinating to collectors.

Our fluorite collection includes polished stones, carvings, jewellery and natural specimens. We hand-pick our pieces for their colour, pattern, crystal structure and individual character, and our selection in the Ross-on-Wye shop is often much larger than the range shown online.
