A personal reflection on working with Atlantisite and Canadian Jade, exploring themes of chaos, order, and reconnecting with the self.

Its New Year’s Eve 2025, and I am at the shop. Its cold and I know I will not stay open for much longer as its very quiet, but I let the stillness work in my favour and use the time to reflect — my own personal version of an end-of-year review.

In numerological terms, 2025 is a 9 year, a year associated with completion, closure, and letting go. And now, we stand on the edge of 2026, a 1 year, symbolising new beginnings and fresh starts.

This idea comes from numerology, which views time as moving through repeating nine-year cycles, each carrying its own themes and energy. A 9 year invites reflection on what has run its course, while a 1 year asks what we are ready to begin.

Standing here in the quiet, it feels like a natural moment to pause — to acknowledge what is ending, and to make space for what comes next.

Working with Atlantisite and Canadian Jade: A Personal Reflection

I hadn’t intended to write this reflection – it simply arose while I was making bracelets with two new strands of beads that arrived yesterday: Atlantisite and Canadian Jade.

Whenever I work with gemstones, I like to connect with them inwardly rather than relying on traditional metaphysical descriptions. I prefer to sense what each stone means to me, listening for whatever message emerges from my own inner awareness. As I worked, two distinct themes emerged – one from each stone.

Canadian Jade Message: Connection to Self 

While making the Canadian Jade bracelet, I had a strong sense that whenever I wore it, it would gently remind me of my connection to self. In a world that constantly draws our attention outward, this felt like an anchor – a quiet return inward.

Canadian Jade is a form of nephrite jade, and across many cultures jade is not associated with escape or ascension, but with embodied presence. It symbolises continuity, inner coherence, and a steady sense of identity.

What came through wasn’t a message of finding myself, but of remembering myself.

This felt like a reconnection with something stable and unchanged beneath life’s shifts – an identity that exists prior to roles, expectations, or striving. Jade, for me, speaks of integrity, honesty with oneself, and living in alignment with what feels quietly true.

It doesn’t push transformation.
It invites embodiment.

Its whisper is simple:
Stay with yourself.

Atlantisite Message: Out of Chaos Comes Order

Atlantisite was less immediately clear. A phrase kept repeating in my mind:

“Out of chaos comes order.”

This didn’t feel dramatic or urgent – more like reassurance. The kind that appears when you’re in the messy middle of something: when old structures are dissolving, but the new shape hasn’t fully formed yet.

Here, chaos didn’t feel like disorder in a negative sense, but rather:

• Letting go of old patterns
• Sitting with uncertainty
• Resisting the urge to force clarity too soon

The message felt more like:
Trust the process you’re already in.

From a mystical perspective, chaos has long been understood as potential, not failure. It is the raw material from which new order emerges. This phrase often appears during periods of emotional healing, identity shifts, or spiritual reorientation – moments where something deeper is quietly reorganising itself.

Rather than asking, “What does this mean?”, the more helpful question felt like:
What is reorganising itself within me?

Chaos and Order: A Shared Theme

There was a meaningful contrast between the two stones:

• Atlantisite reflected transition and integration – chaos gradually forming into order
• Canadian Jade offered stability and grounding – a return to self

Together, they suggested a gentle sequence:

1. Something dissolves
2. You re-anchor
3. Identity simplifies

Where Atlantisite speaks of change, Canadian Jade speaks of staying present.

A Personal Closing Reflection

All of this – written with the help of AI so it reads clearly for you – fits beautifully within my own nine-year cycle. I stepped away from the world of crystal healing so I could focus on remembering who I am. I still love my crystals and will continue to sell crystals; they bring me joy, and I’m very comfortable acknowledging the placebo effect they have on me.

Looking back over the past nine years, I can see how much has dissolved so that something more authentic could take shape. This year feels like a natural closing — not with dramatic endings, but with quiet integration. Atlantisite reflects the inner reordering that has taken place, while Canadian Jade reminds me to remain anchored in myself as I move forward. As the year ends, I’m not setting intentions to change, but to inhabit more fully the self that has been slowly revealed.

Moving into the New Year, I hope to share more inner reflections that arise from working consciously and intuitively with my crystals.
