Description

Lapis Lazuli Mini Angel

These little Lapis Lazuli Mini Angels are approximately one inch tall and individually carved and polished from natural stone.

Their appearance varies beautifully from piece to piece. Some are dominated by rich royal blue, while others contain more prominent areas of white or grey Calcite and tiny golden-toned flecks of Pyrite.

More Than One Mineral

Unlike Quartz or Calcite, Lapis Lazuli isn’t a single mineral. It is a rock composed of several minerals, with the vivid blue mineral Lazurite responsible for much of its characteristic colour.

Calcite is commonly responsible for the white and pale grey areas, while metallic-looking golden flecks are usually Pyrite. The different proportions of these minerals give every piece of Lapis Lazuli its own pattern and character.
