This White Jade Buddha is an exquisitely hand-carved statement piece, showcasing both the beauty of the material and the skill of the artisan. The carving has a strong, calm presence and impressive weight, making it a standout feature for any interior space. We recommend watching the video to fully appreciate the quality, detail, and scale of this piece.

With the stand included, the carving weighs 7.790 kilos and measures approximately 31cm tall x 21cm wide. Without the stand, the jade Buddha weighs 7.230 kilos and stands 28cm tall. The natural colour and smooth finish of the jade give the piece a refined, timeless appearance.

Symbolism

Jade has long been associated with serenity, purity, and wisdom gathered through calm reflection. It has been valued across cultures for centuries, not only for its beauty but for what it represents — balance, restraint, and longevity.

This carving depicts the Buddha with a sack, a traditional and recognisable form. The sack is commonly interpreted in two ways:

• As a symbol of a traveller who gathers and carries away people’s worries and troubles

• As a symbol of abundance, prosperity, and good fortune

Both interpretations make this a popular form for homes, businesses, and shared spaces.

Feng Shui Placement

In Feng Shui, jade Buddha carvings are often placed in living areas, entrances, or workplaces to create a welcoming and grounded atmosphere. The Laughing Buddha is traditionally positioned where it can be seen easily, reinforcing feelings of warmth, generosity, and ease. Due to its substantial weight, this piece is particularly well suited to anchoring a space visually and energetically.
