Our Approach to Pricing
Many small retail businesses feel pressure to rely on frequent sales or heavy discounting, often following retail calendars or short-term trends. While this can create a brief boost in revenue, it can also lead to a cycle where customers feel encouraged to wait for the next reduction, rather than buying when they find something they truly love.
At The Crystal Tree, we take a different approach. We price our crystals fairly from the outset, based on what they cost us to source responsibly and select in person. Discounting items regularly can give the impression that they were never worth their original price - something we don’t believe reflects the care and time involved in choosing our stock.
Occasional reductions may happen, but they’re the exception rather than the rule. This allows us to focus on sourcing interesting, high-quality pieces and maintaining consistency, rather than chasing short-term sales.
In short, we value sustainability over flash sales - for our business, and for the people who support it.
